Penthouse in Corunna
A rehabilitation was planned in a flat under the roof of a residential building from the late 70s, trying to make the most of the advantages of having a dwelling in the city, with right to a bit of sun, sky, and open air.
The reform aimed to achieve open interconnected spaces. Part of the terrace was glazed, to make possible its use all year round, but allowing opening the glass enclosure panes, and expanding it with the outer terrace, or opening it to the living room.
The refurbishing gave also opportunity to renovate the thermal envelope, improve isolation, ventilation, and services.
